Love them or loathe them, Virgin Media are behind the superfast broadband that’s delivered to much of the UK. And when things inevitably go wrong, it’s not always easy to find the company’s support number.

The support number for Virgin Media
Virgin Media’s official support number is 0345 454 1111.
0345 is one of a number of non-geographic numbers (NGNS) used by many large organisations. 03 numbers, such as 0330, 0333, 0345 and 0370, are normally included in your monthly landline or mobile minutes.
Alternatively, you can use the freephone number 0800 9528046.
Finally, if you have Virgin Mobile, you can phone the company using 150.
This Helpline is available:
- Monday to Friday, 8am until 9pm
- Saturday, 8am until 8pm
- Sunday, 8am until 6pm
Messaging
Virgin Media offer a messaging service, via its website, which works in a similar way to text messaging – it’s not an instant chat service, so you have to wait for responses.
Oddly, the only way that I could find to access it was via the contact pages for “Moving Home”. Please use the button below and scroll down to the bottom of the resulting page to find it:

Live Chat

Social Media
In my experience, turning to Twitter can often deliver the quickest results. However, this is possibly not the case for Virgin Media. As well as sharing a single account for both support and marketing (somebody should tell them that these are free, and they really don’t need to limit themselves here), they don’t appear to be very vocal when things go pear shaped.
Nonetheless, it’s always worth a punt.
