Bookmarks are not as important as they once were, now that browsers remember sites you’ve visited previously. Simply starting to type the site’s name into Safari will normally be enough to bring up the site you’re looking for. So, if you want to prune your collection, how do you delete bookmarks on a Mac? There are a couple of ways to do this.
Delete bookmarks on a Mac from the bookmarks panel
One way to vanish a bookmark is to delete it from the bookmarks panel.
If your bookmarks are not already showing in a panel to the left-hand side of the Safari browser, click Bookmarks in the Menu Bar at the top of the screen and Show Bookmarks.
Now right-click on the bookmark that you wish to remove and select Delete, as shown below:

You might have your most-visited bookmarks saved in Safari’s Favourites. If you got the Favourites bar switched on, you will normally have a row of bookmarks under the address bar.
To delete a bookmark from Safari Favourites, simply right-click on the bookmark in question and click Delete, as shown here:
