This was the week that the PC Pro Podcast moved its live recording from Mixlr to Discord, taking its many listeners with it. But whatever your reason for leaving Mixlr behind, you may wish to delete a Mixlr account. Here’s how to do it.
What is Mixlr?
Mixlr is a website, and accompanying software and apps, that allows you to stream live audio. You can save and playback episodes, as well as have a live, text-based chat to accompany a live recording.
For those who just want to take part in listening and chatting, Mixlr is totally free to use, and a profile is all that’s required for the latter.
How to delete a Mixlr account
Time needed: 1 minute.
How to delete your Mixlr account
- Make sure you’re signed into Mixlr
This can be the mobile app or the website – the method is identical for each - Click the cog icon in the top corner of the screen
This will take you to the Account Settings screen - Click on the “Delete account” button
This can be found at the bottom of the screen
- Confirm the account deletion
If you’re happy to proceed, click the Delete your account button
And it’s gone. Unlike most sites, there’s no confirmation of your password or anything – it’s so easy, I can imagine this happening by mistake. But, for those who want to leave Mixlr, it’s refreshingly simple to do.
