30 Rock is one of my favourite shows of all time, and if you’re reading this, then I’m sure I don’t need to convince you to watch it. The bad news – it’s not available on any streaming services in the UK, as NBC hold the rights. The good news? It’s not difficult at all to watch it for free in the UK. Well, very almost free! Here’s how.
How can I watch 30 Rock for free in the UK?
Download a VPN
30 Rock is hosted on a streaming service called Peacock, which is accessible for free in America. Unfortunately (or rather, fortunately), you’re probably not there. The easiest way to get around this restriction is to use a VPN, to trick Peacock into thinking you are in the USA.
Normally, the easiest option for browsing the internet using a VPN is with the Opera browser, which includes one for free. Annoyingly however, Peacock is wise to that game, and you’ll see this screen:
Personally, I use Mozilla VPN, as it offers a cheap pay-per-month option (£4), which I prefer to a big chunk of money all at once. Of course, there are hundreds of other services, many of them free, so pick whichever one appeals to you.
Go to peacocktv.com
Activate your VPN, and choose anywhere in America. Now visit peacocktv.com, and you should be able to sign up for the service. If it still doesn’t quite believe you’re an American citizen, try changing the location of the VPN to another state. Once signed in, you’ve got access to Peacock’s entire library! Including, of course, 30 Rock. Type that into the search bar (or press this link), and you’ve got all 139 episodes at your fingertips.
